CS:GO was the second-most watched game on Twitch in August, the streaming platform company has revealed.

Twitch has revealed its traditional monthly ranking, featuring the 20 games that were the most watched during that specific period of time.

With little surprise, CS:GO moved up to second on the list – a new record for the game – mostly because of the success of ESL One Cologne, an event that drew almost 3 million unique viewers and that pushed the records of concurrent viewers and players to 409,368 and 277,192, respectively.

ESL One Cologne drew a massive number of viewers

With Hearthsone and Dota2 both falling behind CS:GO in the ranking, there is little doubt about the future of CS:GO as a global eSports phenomenon.
