mousesports backup player Nikola “NiKo” Kovač will play for Team Kinguin as a stand-in at the Gaming Paradise qualifier.

The Bosnian talent will step in for Alexander “SKYTTEN” Carlsson, who has been ruled out of the tournament after falling sick during the team’s bootcamp in Poland.

Widely regarded as one of the hottest properties in southeastern Europe, Nikola “NiKo” Kovač was forced to step down from mousesports’ active lineup last month as the team brought on three players from PENTA Sports and went back to communicating in German.

NiKo to play for Kinguin in Slovenia

Since then, he has played for mouz in a number of official matches as a stand-in as he remains tied to the organisation.

Team Kinguin will take on Gamers2, Rock and FlipSid3 Tactics at the Slovenian event, which is scheduled to start on Tuesday. Only the winning side will get a slot in the Gaming Paradise’s CS:GO tournament, which will have $50,000 on offer.

This means that Team Kinguin will attend the Gaming Paradise qualifier with:

Mikail “Maikelele” Bill
 Håvard “rain” Nygaard
 Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom
 Ricardo “fox” Pacheco
Nikola “NiKo” Kovač (stand-in)
