ROCCAT have announced that they have completed the signing of the team known as ENCORE.
The Finnish team had been on the lookout for a new organisation for almost four months following the disbandment of 3DMAX, who supported many famous players during its five-year history.
Since then, ENCORE had undergone multiple roster changes, some of which as a result of players retiring or taking breaks from gaming, as in the cases of Joona “natu” Leppänen and Taneli “disturbed” Veikkola.
KHRN & co join ROCCAT
As months went by and the team continued without an organisation, many feared that the players could end up going their separate ways. However, such thoughts were quelled as the team secured a spot at the offline qualifier for ESL One Cologne via the first online pre-qualifier.
With just days left before the start of the qualifier in Germany, the Finnish team have secured the backing of ROCCAT, which makes another foray into competitive Counter-Strike after a three-year absence from the scene.
ROCCAT have been drawn in Group B at the ESL One Cologne qualifier and will take on ex-Rock, now known as k1ck, in the first round of the group stage. Their lineup consist of:
Miikka “suNny” Kemppi
Jesse “KHRN” Grandell
Timi “aslak” Verkkoperä
Mikko “xartE” Välimaa
Timo “REFLEX” Rintala
