Temp.no have been crowned champions of Telenor League’s spring season after beating BX3 in the grand final.
The Norwegian team went into the playoffs along with LGB, BX3 and Lions, eventually securing their grand final slot after defeating Lions in the semifinals. They were joined by BX3 after their triumphant 2-0 victory over LGB.
In the final, which was broadcasted online by Norwegian tabloid Verdens Gang, Temp.no proved to be the stronger side with 16-12 scores on both de_cache and de_inferno. The win netted them €1,200, while BX3 cashed in €600.
“The match went just the way we hoped it would. We played really well as a team and won the game with superb T sides. We also won 3/4 pistolrounds, something we have had touble with doing earlier. Some great play by BX3 made us have some problems closing the match on both maps, but in the end we managed to pull through, team captain Anders “aNdz” Kjær says.
“It is definetly a great feeling to win our first title as a team, and taking the victory in our first season in the league is something we are proud of. Hopefully we can continue improving and show our skills in international leagues and tournaments as well.”
The upcoming autumn season will see an increased prize pool, rewarding the same amounts to the second and third-placed teams. The winning team, however, will receive the chance to sign a sponsor contract worth €9,500 from Logitech and Expert.
